SMALL MISSION COMPUTER

SMALL MISSION COMPUTER - SMC

The Small Mission Computer (SMC) is a ruggedized, general-purpose computing device that can be used in a wide variety of applications. The SMC can be integrated on an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) or used as a ground-based Vehicle Specific Module (VSM) to achieve STANAG 4586 compliance. The SMC unifies the interfaces between the Command & Control (C2) elements on the ground and in the air to provide a common control interface across all classes and types of unmanned aircraft. The SMC supports multiple versions of STANAG 4586 or Unmanned Control Segment (UCS) messaging, as well as a variety of UAS autopilots and payloads. Additional upgrades include: STANAG 4586 interoperability with the U.S. Army, bi-directional control for remote operators, supervised control, multi-vehicle control, autonomous mission storage, autonomous area and route search, storage of payload data (e.g. recording of images and video storage), and an open-interface for third party integration. Contact Kutta to learn about the SMC’s various form factors and custom STANAG 4586 VSM services.
